Bringing Home A New Puppy
by Amanda Baker
With careful planning, bringing home a puppy to share with your family can be a wonderful experience. However, a new puppy is a lot of hard work. Before you ever bring your new puppy home, you must prepare your home for the new member of the family. To "puppy proof" your home, it is a good idea to get down on the floor where the puppy will be and look around from his eye level. Electrical cords, houseplants, "lost" items under furniture, and stairs are some of the things that could seriously hurt a puppy.

Solving Problem Puppy Behaviors
by Michael Paetzold
If you have ever had a puppy you know that there will be some problem behaviors that have to be corrected. These are always much easier to nip them in the bud while they are young rather than trying to break the bad habits as they grow older.

Dog Training
by: Andrew Strachan
One of the few things that dog owners or prospective dog owners think about is whether or not they will need to train their dog. Although training a dog is not absolutely essential unless your dog has a particular problem, a small amount of training to remove bad habits and set boundaries for your dog should be considered. In addition to this, a well trained dog will feel much more secure in your home when it knows its boundaries. Even in the wild, a dog will have some sort of enforced boundaries of behavior by the pack structure and hierarchy that exists. At the end of the day, your dog is part of your 'pack'.

Protect Your Cat With Vaccinations
by Ron King
If you want to enjoy the companionship of a healthy and happy cat, 1 of the most important things you can do is to safeguard its health. Vaccinations can protect your cat from many common cat diseases.

Dog Grooming
by: John Moore
All dogs need regular grooming. It improves the appearance of short coated dogs, and is essential for those with long coats. It also does much to stop unwanted hair on the furniture and carpets. Start as soon as you get your dog or puppy. If you get dogs used to grooming from an early age they will accept it as a normal routine and become to enjoy it.
